Tony Parker Net Worth $75 Million
So just how rich is Tony Parker? Sources estimate that Tony is one of the richest basketball players with a net worth of $75 million, mostly accumulated from his basketball career. While playing in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs, he has earned around $100 million dollars and the highest amount he made in a year was in a 2010-2011 season where his salary reached $13.5 million.
Tony Parker‘s mother, Pamela Firestone was a model and his father, Tony Parker Senior was a professional basketball player. Tony at first favored soccer, but was inspired by Michael Jordan to switch to basketball. Due to his height, he was chosen to play in the point guard position, which required more agility than size.
Tony Parker played in the amateur leagues for two seasons in France until he joined Paris Basket Racing in 1999 and started his professional basketball career. In 2001, Parker was picked 28th by San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Draft and played with them until 2011. At that time Tony‘s career got the biggest boost and his net worth started rising significantly. While the 2011 NBA lockout was going on, Tony played with the team he owned a 20% stake in, ASVEL Villeurbanne, where he chose to play at home for minimum wage which was $2,000.
After the lockout ended, Tony Parker returned to playing with the Spurs and is still a part of this very successful team today. This can be measured by the Spurs winning the NBA Championship four times, and Tony himself being selected for the All-Rookie First Team in 2001-02, six NBA All Star Team six times, and being vote the MVP in the 2007 title play-offs. Tony Parker has also played consistently in international games for France, firstly in age teams, and then for the senior team from 2001.
Besides football, Tony also dabbled in music and movies. In 2005, he appeared in various TV series like “En aparté“. Then, in 2007, he released a hip-hop music album TP and in 2008, he played Tonus Parker in the movie “Asterix at the Olympic Games“.
As for his personal life, Tony Parker‘s parents are divorced, but his mother still advises him on diet, while his father evaluates Tony‘s performance after every game. Parker married Texan Eva Longoria in 2007 at the Saint-Germain I‘Auzerrois Church in Paris. In the same year media started spreading rumours about a supposed affair with Alexandra Paressant, which both parties denied, and after Parker started a $20 million lawsuit against the website, it quickly dropped the story and apologized. In 2010, Eva sued for divorce from Tony stating their differences as a reason, though she also thought Parker was cheating on her. The divorce was finalized in 2011. The same year, Tony started dating Axelle Francine, a journalist and they married in 2014. Their son, Josh Parker, was born in April of 2014.
